CDA Fact-Finding trip To Panama 03/31/2024

From March 31 to April 4, 2024, the Center for Democracy in the Americas (CDA) led a fact-finding trip to Panama for U.S. Congresswoman Delia C. Ramírez and her Chief of Staff, as well as senior staff from the offices of Representative Greg Casar and Representative Chuy García.

On this trip, which was dedicated to understanding the migration dynamics in Panama as well as the impact of U.S. migration policy in the region, they traveled to Panama City and the Darien province. (I am not sure if province should be capitalized) They engaged with Panamanian officials, UN agencies, international non-governmental organizations, civil society, and refugees and migrants themselves.
