CUBA: CDA Women's Research Delegation 04/03/2017
With generous support from the Ford Foundation, CDA hosted “Conversations between women: bridging the gender gap in Cuba and the United States,” a delegation to Cuba from March 31-April 3, 2017. The diverse group was composed of leaders in business, diplomacy, science, and the arts who will play an important role in developing high-impact, creative collaborations focused on women during a new phase of U.S.-Cuba relations. Our delegation included Candice Miles and Samira Cook Gaines, co-founders of Global Empowerment Solutions; Professor Linda Scott of the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and co-founder of Power Shift, the Oxford Forum for Women in the World Economy; Cuban-American physicist Sabrina González Pasterski; arts advocate Carla Dirlikov Canales; and her partner, David Rothkopf, the CEO and editor of Foreign Policy Group.
